Change

Life is all about change. Even though it is a necessary and inevitable part of life, I can't say I am always a fan. Rolling with the seemingly excessive amounts of change has been a running theme in my own life these past couple of years. As uncomfortable as these changes have been, I have learned a lot from them. I thought I might share some of my lessons:

  1. Transitions in life can bring about a fresh perspective and opportunities for growth.
  2. A broken heart can and will heal when given time and the right to grieve.
  3. Only very few things in life are enduring, surrendering the need to keep things fixed is key to the acceptance of something new.
  4. There is adventure to be found in one's ever changing story.
I believe Victor E. Frankl (1905-1997) said it best:

Everything can be taken away from a man but one thing: the last of the human freedom -- to choose one's attitude in any given set of circumstances, to choose one's own way.

So in that spirit: Bring on CHANGE!
